During my screen acting module at the University, I had the opportunity to showcase my skills by performing a captivating duologue alongside my co-star Senan Jehu. Our scene choice was from the popular sci-fi series of 1988, 'Red Dwarf,' specifically Season 7, Episode 4 titled 'Duct Soup.' In this particular scene, I embraced the character of Kochanski and thoroughly enjoyed exploring a role where she exuded a dominant presence, holding more power than the other character. What fascinated me about this character was her ability to incorporate subtle comedy effortlessly, without it feeling forced.
Taking on this role proved to be quite a challenge, but I approached it with dedication and passion, ensuring that I did justice to Kochanski's essence. It was an incredible experience for me as it not only added valuable content to my showreel but also provided me with a taste of the industry. Immersing myself in this performance allowed me to gain practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of the demands and nuances of acting in front of the camera.
