I successfully created and authored my very own Show in a bag! The primary objective was to develop a concise theatrical piece that would intimately reflect my personal journey of growing up in the era of social media. Having embarked on this digital voyage at the tender age of 5, it has now been 17 years, with this year marking a significant milestone. Moreover, I aimed to establish a profound connection with the contemporary audience of the 21st century, fully aware of the indispensable role technology and social media play in all our lives today.
With the invaluable assistance of director Agnieszka Blonska, we devised a hilariously informative 'step by step' tutorial, paying homage to the YouTube videos I used to create during my youthful days as 'ClaudiasCrafts.' The audience wholeheartedly embraced our production, finding it immensely entertaining.
The creative process was an absolute delight, as we meticulously considered every intricate detail. The wardrobe choices, for instance, served to illustrate the glamorous facade influencers present on their upper halves while filming, juxtaposed with the potential chaos or comfortable pajamas they might be donning underneath. Additionally, I particularly enjoyed miming my video in the background during the outro, thereby crafting a boxed effect that reinforced the notion that the show itself was a YouTube video within a YouTube video. Furthermore, the sentimental montage chronicling my online growth was accompanied by a poignant segment, emphasizing the underlying message we sought to convey. This production truly holds a special place in my heart, signifying a labor of love and personal significance.
