Challenging Beauty Standards: My Journey of Self-Acceptance and the 'I'm Wrong' Project

Release Date: 2nd February 2018

Platform: YouTube

The pervasive influence of social media has made us increasingly self-conscious about our appearances and how we present ourselves to the world. However, in reality, our personalities should be the ones that take the center stage, not our looks. Unfortunately, the media has created a narrative where our physical appearance takes precedence over other aspects of our personality.

I have come to realize that categorizing myself as 'beautiful' or 'ugly' based on my appearance is not only unfair but also incorrect. My physical appearance does not define me, and I should not let it dictate my self-worth. As a matter of fact, I am neither 'beautiful' nor 'ugly'; I am unique, just like everyone else.

In an attempt to combat the toxic beauty standards perpetuated by social media, I decided to create a project called "I'm Wrong." The project involves bringing together individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and nationalities to participate in a collective statement of self-acceptance. At the end of the video, each participant utters the phrase "I'm Wrong" in their native language.

I am incredibly passionate about this project and overjoyed with the results. I firmly believe that through initiatives like this, we can collectively work towards dismantling the unrealistic beauty standards set by the media and embrace our uniqueness. If you resonate with my message, I encourage you to check out the video and join the movement of saying "I'm Wrong."
